Benfica midfielder Joao Carvalho has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Since Fosun International's takeover of the club last summer, Wolves have frequently been associated with Benfica through super-agent Jorge Mendes, and it appears that another transfer could take place between the two teams.
According to Record, Carvalho is on "stand-by" to make the switch to Molineux, either on a temporary or permanent basis.
The report claims that talks have already been held with Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira, and that a move appears likely to happen at some point in the near future.
The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Vitoria Setubal, where he netted one goal in 15 matches in Portugal's top flight.
Carvalho has also scored twice in seven appearances for Portugal Under-21s.
