Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth has praised his players for reaching the League Two playoff final, claiming that the team is one of the best he has ever worked with.
The Chairboys eked themselves into a slender lead in the first leg against Plymouth Argyle, winning 3-2 at Home Park, before finishing the job in front of their own fans with a 2-1 win at Adams Park.
Ainsworth told BBC Sport after the game: "They were outstanding, every single player put in a shift. They deserve this trip to Wembley.
"Wembley or not, I'm so proud of that bunch of boys - what we've achieved is above what anyone would have thought we could do.
"It was fantastic to stay in the league last year and we've just kicked on this year. The team spirit and characters we have here are amazing - it's one of the best dressing rooms I've known in 25 years in football."
Wycombe will travel to Wembley on May 23 to take on Southend United for the right to play in League One next season.
