Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes that Sebastian Vettel showed how much of a team player he is following his forced retirement from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix yesterday afternoon.
An early puncture forced the world champion to withdraw for the first time this season.
However, instead of leaving the circuit, the 24-year-old stayed behind to help out behind the scenes.
"He was interested to see the pitwall because he is never in a situation where he can hear the strategy unfolding and how a race operates," said Horner. "What he did is part of who he is.
"He's like a sponge for information, and it also demonstrates what a team player he is."
After the race, Vettel admitted that he had no idea what caused the damage to his car.
