Michael Schumacher turns 50 on Thursday, with the German still considered one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time.

As the former Benetton, Ferrari and Mercedes racer continues to recover from a life-threatening skiing accident in 2013, Press Association Sport trawled their picture archives to take a closer look at his time in F1.
