Lotus driver Romain Grosjean has revealed that he is "very happy" with his team's car for the new season.
The Frenchman has been the fastest driver at pre-season testing in Barcelona over the past few days.
The new car has also performed well during a race simulation session, leaving Grosjean confident ahead of the upcoming campaign.
"The race simulation was very interesting, it's been a long time since I've done that long in a car," said the 25-year-old.
"I think you can play with your driving style to save the tyres and it was good for me to know what makes on the tyre as a result of my driving style and it was pretty consistent, pretty good.
"We are quite happy with that. We're very happy that the car was reliable from the run no problem, so that was good, and it's very encouraging for Melbourne."
Grosjean joined Lotus in December.
