Romain Grosjean is reportedly planning to swap Lotus Renault for US-based outfit Haas prior to next season.
According to BBC Sport, sources close to the 29-year-old have suggested that his mind has already been made up, despite Lotus's imminent takeover.
It is also claimed that, should the Franco-Swiss depart, ex-Toro Rosso driver Jean-Eric Vergne and McLaren reserve Kevin Magnussen would lead the running to take his spot.
Lotus announced on the weekend that Pastor Maldonado has extended his stay and will remain in place for a third term.
