Lewis Hamilton has called on his McLaren team to investigate their recurring pit-stop problems to prevent them losing more points following the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Briton was cost valuable time at both his first and second stops due to problems with the cars left-rear wheelnut and ended up finishing a disappointing eighth.
There were also pit issues last week in China as Jenson Button saw his chances of catching eventual winner Nico Rosberg when was delayed with another wheelnut problem.
Now Hamilton has urged his team to solve these issues before they result in McLaren being cost further points.
"There should be [an investigation] because we gave a lot of points away today which championships are lost from," Hamilton told Sky Sports News.
"So we have to try and make sure we pick up on the next race because we can't afford to lose points like we did today."
Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel won the race for his first victory of the season, with Lotus duo Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean completing the podium.
