Jenson Button has declared that he is pleased with the recent modifications to his McLaren car.
The 32-year-old is currently eighth in the F1 drivers' championship, 79 points behind pace-setter Fernando Alonso.
However, Button is hopeful that the Woking-based team's well-publicised updates will allow him to improve his speed at the German Grand Prix this weekend.
"We should be happy with most of the parts we've put on," said Button.
"It's nice to see so many improvements, and the guys have done a great job bringing them here.
"We've mechanical and aero upgrades which are very straightforward. They're nothing to do with complicated exhaust blowing, and hopefully we should go faster."
Button recorded the fasted lap in yesterday's first practice session, however he was then eighth-quickest in the second session.
