Nico Rosberg has conceded that his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton was in "impressive" form during today's qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix.
It seemed that Rosberg may have done enough to secure pole position for tomorrow's race in Melbourne, but he was pipped by Hamilton, who was 0.594 seconds quicker than the German.
"Lewis was on impressive form today. He did an awesome job and nailed the time," he told BBC Sport.
"For me, the speed was there, [but] I just didn't get it together."
Rosberg finished second to Hamilton in the overall standings last season.
