Michael Schumacher has said that he is expecting to be less emotional after this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix than when he first retired from Formula 1.
The seven-time world champion is quitting the sport after three years with Mercedes GP.
The 43-year-old told reporters: "My departure from Formula 1 will probably be less emotional for me this time than in 2006, when we were still fighting for the title and everything was much more intense.
"This time around I will be able to pay more attention to my farewell and hopefully savour it too.
"Of course, I would be happiest if I could say goodbye with a strong race, and I am sure we will be doing everything we can to make it happen."
Schumacher has had just one podium finish since coming out of retirement in 2010, finishing third in this year's European Grand Prix in Valencia.
