Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher has claimed that a wet race at Silverstone in tomorrow's British Grand Prix will suit his team.
Schumacher took third on the grid thanks to today's rain-soaked qualifying session, and said that he was pleased with the car's competitiveness in the conditions.
"I think we look reasonably competitive in wet conditions, either on intermediates or heavy wets. So therefore rain is welcome tomorrow," ESPN quotes Schumacher as saying.
"We recovered well in the delay and got back in our rhythm. I'm very happy to be third - it's good for the team, good for my boys and thanks to all of the guys."
Schumacher has won the British Grand Prix on three occasions - 1998, 2002 and 2004.
