Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has set the pace at the Hungarian Grand Prix by finishing the first practice session fastest in the field.
The reigning world champion, who sits just one point behind teammate Nico Rosberg in the driver rankings, looked comfortable on the track, where he is a four-time winner.
Rosberg will hope to celebrate signing a new two-year deal by winning on Sunday, but he ended up second best in a tussle with Hamilton this morning.
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen were the third and fourth fastest of the session, while Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen were slightly slower for Red Bull.
It was a relatively drama-free practice, but McLaren's Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button spun on the final corner and Turn 5 respectively.
Vettel suffered the same fate on Turn 12, but it did not hugely affect his time.
