Michael Schumacher could join Sauber for the 2013 Formula 1 season, according to reports.
It was announced on Friday that Lewis Hamilton has agreed a deal to replace the German driver at Mercedes next season and partner Nico Rosberg.
It has recently been speculated that Schumacher could opt to announce his second retirement from the sport after he failed to recapture the form that made him a seven-time world champion.
However, after Sergio Perez agreed to replace Hamilton at McLaren, it is believed that Sauber could choose to offer Schumacher a deal for next season, according to Sky Sports News.
Schumacher is currently 12th in the Formula 1 driver's standings.
