Hollywood star Brad Pitt is poised to make a return to the Formula 1 scene right after the upcoming summer hiatus.
During last year's Belgian GP, several scenes for the in-production movie currently titled 'Apex' were captured at the renowned Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
However, a concurrent Hollywood writer's strike prevented Pitt from participating.
Yet, the Belgian broadcaster RTBF has confirmed that the American "will be on the track at Spa on the weekend of July 26-28. Now the strike is in the past, the 60-year-old actor is expected to shoot the missing scenes," according to the broadcaster's update.
'Apex' is poised as a major film about Formula 1, slated for a June 2025 release.
Additionally, RTBF noted that significant portions of the Spa-Francorchamps track, including a 600-metre section of the pit lane, are set to be resurfaced ahead of the 2024 Belgian GP at the end of July.
The repaving process, which includes 3.5 kilometres in total in the areas between Blanchimont and Eau Rouge, Kemmel and Bruxelles, as well as Campus and Paul Frere, commenced in mid-June. body check tags ::
