German driver Nick Heidfeld has left Renault by mutual consent with immediate effect.
The 34-year-old has been replaced by Brazilian Bruno Senna, who will race alongside Vitaly Petrov for the remaining seven races of the 2011 season.
"Obviously I'm disappointed to be leaving in the middle of the season," said Heidfeld.
Team principal Eric Boullier added: "[Heidfeld] is a very strong and determined racer and we wish him every success in the future."
Senna, 27, is nephew of racing legend Ayrton Senna.
