Formula 1 may soon face the departure of one of its most prominent international sponsors, as reported by the Swiss publication Blick.

This longstanding partnership with Rolex, the prestigious Swiss watchmaker, known for its role in official F1 timekeeping, began more than ten years ago, notably influenced by F1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart at the time.

"I proposed that they support the entire series and it was one of the best choices they could have made," said Stewart, now 85.

On Tuesday, Blick newspaper raised the question: "Is Rolex withdrawing from Formula 1?"

"Rumours are circulating in Geneva that Rolex is withdrawing as a sponsor. An LVMH brand is set to step into the breach," the report stated.

The French conglomerate LVMH, also known as Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, owns several watch brands including Tag Heuer and Hublot, positioning them as potential successors in the F1 sponsorship landscape. body check tags ::
