Red Bull's Mark Webber has said that he hopes to improve on this season's performance to challenge for the world championship in 2012.
Even though the Aussie has not taken victory this year, he still has a chance of finishing second behind teammate Sebastian Vettel in the individual standings.
"This year has been very constant, but with not many massive peaks in it, so it hasn't been as nice as last year for me in many ways," the 35-year-old said.
"So the bar is high, which is great. It's what we get out of bed for each day, and when it is that high, it's what you want to be striving for each time.
"If I want to drop the bar I can do that and go and do something else, but I don't want to do that. I want to stay at this level."
There are two races left this season, with the penultimate in Abu Dhabi this weekend while the final race weekend will be in Brazil in two weeks' time.
