Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has said that he is confident the FIA will rule that a hole in the floor of the car is legal.
Rival teams raised the issue at the Monaco Grand Prix but never really made a protest as Mark Webber raced to victory on the streets of Monte Carlo.
Horner admitted that the design was a little radical but that there are many grey areas in the laws governing the sport that are "open to interpretation".
"The rules are written in such a way that they are open to interpretation and our interpretation of that particular rule was accepted by the scrutineers, by the technical delegate and the other teams got a little bit agitated," Horner told Sky Sports F1.
"But we were always confident that our car complied fully with the regulations."
Horner, 38, expects a decision to be made by next weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
