World champion Sebastian Vettel has reportedly decided to leave Red Bull for Ferrari in the 2014 season.
The 25-year-old, who has been at Red Bull since 2009, is believed to have put pen to paper on a deal with Ferrari that has the option to join them in two years' time depending on their results in the standings, according to BBC Sport.
It is believed that Fernando Alonso, who is currently second in the driver rankings, has given Ferrari the thumbs up to add Vettel to their team as the Spaniard has a say on who the Italian outfit sign.
Reports have claimed that Alonso rejected the notion of British driver Lewis Hamilton, who will compete for Mercedes next season, joining the team.
