Nico Hulkenberg's plans for next season are far from confirmed, according to one Formula 1 pundit.
The Sauber driver had been heavily linked with a move to Lotus for 2014 as a replacement for Ferrari-bound Kimi Raikkonen.
However, German television pundit Marc Surer suggests that move was far from certain to go ahead.
He is quoted by GMM as saying: "I think Hulkenberg is still a little undecided, because there could be the opportunity to go to McLaren. That would be tempting."
Hulkenberg joined Sauber from Force India ahead of the 2013 season.
