Sauber driver Sergio Perez has said that he is "very happy" with the new Sauber C31 ahead of the start of this year's F1 world championship.
The 22-year-old set the fastest time of the penultimate day of pre-season testing in Barcelona by edging out McLaren's Jenson Button.
"I am very happy with how my final test day went," said Perez, following the 114 laps of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya.
"We did an intensive programme with qualifying and race preparation, which was important to do. I think we have demonstrated that the car has developed well over the testing period. The team has made the most out of all the information we have collected and certainly is in good shape."
The Mexican also spoke of his excitement for the new season, which begins in Melbourne on March 18, adding: "Also personally I feel ready for Melbourne."
