Lilia Vu has continued her outstanding 2023 by winning the Women's Open at Walton Heath.
Earlier this year, Vu won the Chevron Championship to secure the first major of her career, just two months after lifting her first LPGA trophy.
The world number six has now added the Open to her list of achievements for the calendar year, prevailing in stunning fashion as she emerged victorious by six shots.
Fans at the Surrey-based course were rooting for England's Charley Hull, but there was a six shot difference between the home favourite and her American rival.
As Hull could only produce a one-over-par round of 73 that featured four bogeys, Vu posted a 67 that included six birdies and just one dropped shot.
An eagle from Hull on the 11th hole effectively cancelled out the bogeys from earlier in her round, and Vu was always in control from registering three birdies from her opening 11 holes.
Shin Jiyai was third, one shot adrift of Hull, having posted a two-under round of 70, while her South Korean compatriots Kim Hyo Joo and Amy Yang completed the top five.
World number one Nelly Korda could only finish in 11th position after a two-over 74, with Alice Hewson's the next best-placed British player in 16th spot. body check tags ::
