Europe's Danny Willett has claimed that he is brushing aside the hype surrounding the Ryder Cup ahead of this week's showdown against the USA at Hazeltine.
The reigning Masters champion will try to help Europe - led by captain Darren Clarke - win the trophy for a fourth successive time in Minnesota.
They will come up against a USA team that captain Davis Love III recently suggested was the best ever that has been selected, but Willett is focusing on the job at hand.
"You just play golf - there is a lot of talking that goes around everything," Sky Sports News quotes Willett as saying. "Within everything you do you just try to do your job, at the end of the day.
"We will see on Sunday night, you can't really talk your way to a win, you have got to play some good golf. The comments have been quite funny but we are just going to go out there and try to play golf."
The tournament will get underway at Hazeltine National Golf Club on Friday.
