Henrik Stenson has admitted that he would like to improve upon his Ryder Cup points return at Gleneagles this weekend.
The Swede has appeared at the tournament on two previous occasions, having earned a relatively modest three points from a possible seven.
However, after he qualified for a place on the European team for a third time earlier this year, Stenson is eager to put more points on the board in Scotland.
"It's been a while. I played in 2006 and 2008 but I never felt like I was done," Sky Sports News quotes the 38-year-old as saying. "I wanted to get the European shirt on at least once more, and here we are. I'm delighted with that.
"Hopefully I'll play a bigger role in terms of the points that I can bring to the team. I got one-and-a-half out of three matches at the K Club and one-and-a-half out of four matches at Valhalla - I wouldn't mind getting some points out of this one."
Stenson's putt at the K Club eight years ago sealed the trophy for Europe.
