Sir Nick Faldo believes that nothing will break Rory McIlroy's focus as he attempts to complete the Grand Slam by winning The Masters at Augusta National this week.
The tournament in Georgia is the only Major that has eluded the Irishman, who won back-to-back titles at the British Open and PGA Championship last year.
Much of the media attention is on Tiger Woods, who will compete for the green jacket after spending two months out of action, but Faldo has no concerns that the former world number one's participation will distract McIlroy.
"Rory has been on this mission ever since the PGA [Championship] last year," Faldo told Sky Sports News. "He's spoken about it in interviews that he wants the Masters to complete the Grand Slam.
"So, no, I think he will have prepared well and will be on countdown to the first tee on Thursday now."
The 25-year-old finished tied eighth in the field last year.
