Jordan Spieth has admitted that finishing joint second in The Masters will "sting" for a while.
The 20-year-old was in contention to win the tournament until the closing stages of his first visit to Augusta National, and he concedes that losing to Bubba Watson will continue to play on his mind for some time.
"It will sting to some extent until I get myself back in that position, even at Augusta, and that could be a while from now," Spieth told ESPN.
"I'm definitely still stinging, there's no doubt about it, to work your whole life to be in position to win a golf tournament you've always dreamed of.
"But I never expected to be in that position maybe this early, so I'm definitely looking back at all the positives going forward."
Spieth has moved up to ninth in the world rankings following his display in The Masters.
