Defending champion Charl Scwartzel experienced a tough day at the Masters as the South African finished three-over-par after round two.
After starting his campaign with a level-par 72, Schwartzel soon crept up the leaderboard with birdies on two and four.
However, he dropped a shot instantly on five before a bogey on nine moved him back to zero.
Despite showing flashes of his winning form from 2011, the 27-year-old slumped on the back nine with bogeys on 10 and 13 before a final bogey on 18 left him on three-under.
Although it was a disappointing day for Schwartzel, he has missed the projected cut of five-over.
Jason Dufner and veteran Fred Couples currently hold the lead on five-under.
