Home favourite Greg Chalmers has followed up his Australian Open triumph with victory at the Australian PGA Championship.
The 38-year-old won at the Lakes Golf Club in Sydney two weeks ago and came through a three-way playoff in Coolum to make it a couple of weeks to remember.
Chalmers held his nerve at the first extra hole as opponents Robert Allenby and Marcus Fraser, who also finished the tournament on 12-under-par, slipped up meaning that Chalmers's par was enough for victory.
"I was surprised to see that par was good enough because I thought we would have to birdie this hole, but that's how it goes some times," Chalmers said.
"The putt was the hardest thing and to have won it now and coupled with the Australian Open, I've got two of those, I'm just thrilled."
Overnight leader KT Kim held a four-shot lead at one point but fell away after the first few holes, eventually ending three shots adrift on nine-under.
