American Charley Hoffman has insisted that he is not getting carried away despite leading by three shots after the second round of the Deutsche Bank Championship.
The 38-year-old shot an eight-under 63 to build on his opening round 67 and pull away from early leader Brendon De Jonge at TPC Boston.
"This is one of those courses that when you get up on the tees it sets up well visually for me," Hoffman told reporters.
"I also tend to make a few more putts on these greens. I'm in a nice position after two days, but obviously we have a lot of golf left."
Hoffman is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour, with his last success coming at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in November last year.
He also beat Jason Day, Luke Donald and Geoff Ogilvy to the 2010 Deutsche Bank Championship title.
