Fred Couples steps down after three Presidents Cup victories in a row, while Nick Price hopes to carry on his role as captain of the International team.

Nick Price has said that he would be "honoured" to captain the International team at the next Presidents Cup in 2015.

The Zimbabwean took charge for the first time at Muirfield Village Golf Club, and although his players fought hard in the final day's singles, they eventually fell three points short of the Americans.

The three-time Major champion hopes that he will be asked to lead the team in two years' time at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea.

"This was just a phenomenal week for all of us and I want to congratulate the U.S. team," Reuters quotes the 56-year-old as saying.

"They played golf that was just incredible to watch. They combined well, but for this team, I would be honored if they ever asked me to be captain of this team again, don't care where it is."

Meanwhile, three-time winning United States captain Fred Couples said that he will not be back for a fourth time in Seoul, telling NBC: "A three-peat's good enough for me.

The US team have won eight of the 10 Presidents Cups since the event's inception in 1994.
