English golfer Simon Dyson has been hit with a suspended two-month ban from the European Tour and a £30,000 fine after a 'serious breach of regulations'.
The 35-year-old stood before a three-man independent disciplinary panel at the European Tour's headquarters in Wentworth today over an incident that occurred during the BMW Masters in October.
Dyson was disqualified form the tournament after failing to sign for a two-shot penalty on the eighth hole, when a television viewer noticed that the player had touched the line of his putt.
Following today's hearing, it has been confirmed that Dyson's ban has been suspended by 18 months.
The Englishman could have been hit with a three-month suspension from the European Tour.
