Matt Kuchar has a one-shot lead after the first round of the Northern Trust Open in Los Angeles.
The 34-year-old American carded seven birdies in a flawless round of 64, which puts him clear at the top on seven-under par.
Sergio Garcia also made seven birdies on the Pacific Palasades course, but a dropped shot at 13 means that the Spaniard trails Kuchar heading into tomorrow's second round.
Brandt Jobe finished the day on five-under, while the trio of David Lynn, James Hahn and Charlie Beljan are tied for fourth on four-under.
Lee Westwood is one of 11 players on three-under.
