Taylor Penrith became the latest first-time winner on the PGA Tour on Sunday with victory at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, but what does it mean for the World Golf Rankings?

Taylor Pendrith ended his wait for a PGA Tour title on Sunday as he won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson title in Texas.

A final-round 67 was enough to give the Canadian a one-shot victory, capitalising on a mistake from Ben Kohles on the last hole.

Sweden's Alex Noren was third, while S.H. Kim, Byeong Hun An and England's Aaron Rai and Matt Wallace secured a share of fourth position.

However, with many of the sport's biggest names choosing to take last week off, what did Pendrith's triumph do for the World Golf Rankings?

Where have the best performers at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson moved?

Pendrith has been able to move to a career-high 58th position, rising from 107th as he also recorded his first top-five since last year's Shriners Children's Open.

American Kohles also progresses to a career-high, advancing from 139th to 82nd, while Noren is closing in on a return to the world's top 50, progressing from 69th to 57th.

An is also a notable mover from 41st to 32nd spot, with Rai and Wallace advancing up to 73rd and 85th respectively and Kim progressing to 107th.

Jake Knapp, who finished eighth, missed out on an opportunity to claim a top-50 spot, yet the American was still able to go from 56th to 51st.

Sixteen-year-old English prospect Kris Kim marked his debut appearance on the PGA Tour with 65th place to move into 1,893rd place in the rankings.

Who were notable movers after the Volvo China Open?

Adrian Otaegui was back in the winners' circle in Asia, helping the Spaniard go from 143rd to 110th in the standings.

Runner-up Guido Migliozzi has returned to the top 200, advancing from 274th to 195th, but England's Jordan Smith - the highest-ranked player in the field - would drop from 93rd to 97th. body check tags ::
