Ian Poulter has revealed that he received advice from former world number one Greg Norman earlier this week about how to enjoy more success on the greens.
Norman contacted the 38-year-old on Twitter after spotting an area for improvement in his putting stroke, and Poulter has confirmed that he spoke with the Australian at length about the issue.
"I spoke to Greg last night, yes. I am not telling you [what he said], because I don't know if they are going to work. I know Greg really well, it was really nice of him to reach out. He noticed a few things," Poulter, who will compete at this week's DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, told reporters.
"I'd like to review the coverage just to see if his observations were my observations as well. I have worked hard on my putting in the last couple of weeks and I feel I have made good inroads, obviously a couple of putts have slid past."
Poulter has not won a title since the WGC-HSBC Champions event in November 2012.
