Talor Gooch has won his first PGA Tour title with a comprehensive victory at the RSM Classic.

The world number 52 has spent much of the week competing at the top of the leaderboard and he never looked in trouble as he kept his name in first place on Sunday.

Birdies on holes two and four set the tone, and a further four on the back nine ensured that he eventually prevailed by a three-shot margin.

Mackenzie Hughes shot a sublime 62 to end the tournament in second spot, edging Sebastian Munoz into third position.

A group of four players, including Ireland's Seamus Power, shared fourth spot, while England's Justin Rose finished in 12th place after a final-round 65.

Fellow Englishman Aaron Rai posted a third successive top 20 on the PGA Tour, moving him up to 59th in the Fedex Cup rankings.
