Tiger Woods has announced that he will make his return to competitive golf in the PGA Tour's Bridgestone Invitational next week.
The former world number one has been out of action since withdrawing from the Players Championship with a strained knee ligament and Achilles tendon 11 weeks ago.
Woods announced his comeback in the World Golf Championship event via his Twitter account. "Feeling fit and ready to fire it up at Firestone next week," he said. "Excited to get back out there!"
The 35-year-old has previously won the Bridgestone Invitational on seven occasions.
Woods will be caddied by Bryon Bell after firing Steve Williams last month, according to The Golf Channel.
