Matt Fitzpatrick has won the DP World Tour Championship following a dramatic final day of action at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
The Englishman took advantage of a slip-up from compatriot Tyrrell Hatton, who looked good value to claim his second tournament victory in the space of two months.
Tyrrell bogeyed on the final hole, however, with his only dropped shot of Sunday's session allowing Fitzpatrick to capitalise as he birdied on three of the closing eight holes to come out on top in Dubai.
Fitzpatrick required a par on the last to force a playoff, but he went one better to finish on five-under 67 for the day, meaning a second triumph of the season for the 22-year-old.
Henrik Stenson clinched a second Race to Dubai title in four years, meanwhile, by carding a final round of 65 - his best of the tournament and enough to make certain that he will end the year as European number one.
