Matthew Fitzpatrick carded a final-round 68 to win the British Masters title at Woburn.
The 21-year-old, who shared the lead with Kiradech Aphibarnrat after day three, started with a bogey at the third hole, but quickly regained his composure with a birdie at the fourth.
He picked up further shots at the 11th, 12th and 15th before another birdie at the 17th put Fitzpatrick, who was a spectator the last time the British Masters was held in 2008, on the verge of the title.
Despite a bogey at the last, the Englishman won by two shots from Shane Lowry, Soren Kjeldsen and Fabrizio Zanotti.
Aphibarnrat's challenge faltered after consecutive bogeys at the start of his round and a double-bogey on the 12th all but ended his hopes.
