Hideki Matsuyama has won the Waste Management Phoenix Open after beating Rickie Fowler in a playoff.
After both players finished level after 72 holes, they matched each other during the first three extra holes before Fowler sent his tee shot into the water at the 17th, which was acting as the fourth extra hole.
Fowler missed a putt for par to allow Matsuyama two putts for victory from around 15 feet, and although he missed with his first effort, he tapped in for par to claim his second title on the PGA Tour.
Harris English finished two shots adrift to take third place ahead of third-round leader Danny Lee, who could only record a round of two-over-par on Sunday.
Ireland's Shane Lowry ended the tournament in a tie for sixth spot, but Phil Mickelson failed to make a late bid for the title, playing his final 18 holes in even par to finish in a share of 11th place.
