Sergio Garcia has thanked the spirit of Seve Ballesteros for Europe's victory in the Ryder Cup.
The USA squandered a 10-6 lead on the final day to allow Jose Maria Olazabal's team to clinch a remarkable triumph at the Medinah Country Club in Illinois.
"What a day. It was hard but we knew there was a chance," Garcia told BBC Sport.
"Today, obviously, everything came right. I've no doubt in my mind that [Seve] was with me today, all the way. There's no chance I would have won my match if he wasn't there."
Garcia narrowly defeated Jim Furyk to get Europe to within a point of retaining the trophy before Martin Kaymer sealed the win.
