Ian Poulter has said that he will deliver "pure passion" at next month's Ryder Cup after being selected as a European wildcard.
The Englishman was named, alongside Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts, by captain Jose Maria Olazabal as Europe's final two members.
"Pumped & honored to be part of Jose's 2012 Ryder Cup team. It will be pure passion from within. Congrats to [Colsaerts] on making his 1st Ryder Cup," tweeted Poulter after the announcement.
Poulter will compete at the biennial competition, which takes place at Medinah Country Club in Chicago this year, for the fourth time.
He has a strong Ryder Cup record having finished as the highest points scorer for either side in the 2008 defeat at Valhalla, while scoring three out of four points at Celtic Manor two years later.
