JB Holmes has retained the lead on the second day of the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral.
Holmes produced a stunning display on Thursday to hit a 62, but it was a far more difficult day for the leader as scoring low continued to prove difficult for the field in Florida.
A bogey on the 18th hole ensured that Holmes finished with a one-over 73 to lead by two strokes ahead of Ryan Moore, who followed up a 66 by shooting one-under-par on day two.
Adam Scott carded the round of the day to move up to third place on the leaderboard with a 68, but it was a mixed bag for world number one Rory McIlroy.
The Northern Irishman threw a club into the water after finding the hazard with an approach shot, before recovering impressively to finish the day eight shots behind Holmes.
Henrik Stenson and Bubba Watson are both on four-under at the halfway stage, while Dustin Johnson is in a group one stroke further back.
