Rory McIlroy has recovered from a poor opening round at the 2016 Open de France to grab a share of the lead at the halfway point on Friday.
The 27-year-old rolled in six birdies to claim the outright lead at Le Golf National, although a mistake at the last took some gloss off his round.
McIlroy's 66 left him tied at the top with Thongchai Jaidee, Mikko Ilonen, Brandon Stone and Wang Jeunghun on five-under.
Defending champion Bernd Wiesberger, meanwhile, sits one shot further back in Paris, while Masters champion Danny Willett dropped to five-over, which put him two shots outside the cut mark.
