Spain's Adrian Otaegui has a two-shot lead at the Tshwane Open following an eight-under second-round 62 in South Africa.
Otaegui is 11-under for the tournament after hitting nine birdies, three of which came consecutively on the back nine, but he dropped a shot on the final hole.
Merrick Bremner is the closest challenger to the Spaniard at the halfway stage following a round of 66, in which he recovered from a first-hole bogey to claim six birdies, but a further two bogeys left him two shots behind the lead.
Thursday's joint leaders David Horsey and Morten Orum Madsen dropped to tied third and tied 13th respectively.
