World number two Jordan Spieth has finished the opening round in a four-way tie for the lead at the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Texas.
Despite rain delays causing problems earlier in the day, all 122 players managed to finish their first rounds and Spieth did enough to join Kevin Na, Ryo Ishikawa and Boo Weekley at the top of the leaderboard.
The Masters champion was given impressive supports in his home state, and he delighted the fans with a 20-foot putt for a birdie on the final hole to reach six-under-par.
Ishikawa and 2013 champion Weekley also managed to post bogey-free rounds, while Na recovered from a mistake on his ninth hole to earn a share of the lead.
Ian Poulter is one shot back alongside George McNeill, but it was a frustrating day for defending champions Adam Scott, who could only post a two-over 72.
