England's Andy Sullivan cards a bogey-free 66 to move one shot clear at the halfway mark of the European Tour's season-ending DP World Tour Championship.

Andy Sullivan will take a one-shot lead into the weekend at the European Tour's season-ending DP World Tour Championship after securing back-to-back 66s in Dubai.

The Englishman, who has won three times on Tour this season, stands alone at 12-under-par, one shot clear of Argentina's Emiliano Grillo, who posted the round of the day with an eight-under 64.

Sullivan has not made a bogey in 28 holes thanks to today's blemish-free card, which included four birdies in his final seven holes.

He sank lengthy putts at the 12th and 14th before capping his round off in style by holing one from off the green at the 18th after a wayward approach to the lengthy par-five.

Grillo was playing alongside current Race to Dubai leader Rory McIlroy, who is four behind Sullivan following a second straight 68 on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

McIlroy is in a tie for fourth with Thongchai Jaidee (67) and Charl Schwartzel (65), with America's Patrick Reed all alone in third on nine-under after a 65.

Danny Willett is McIlroy's main rival for the Race to Dubai crown and he lies two behind the Northern Irishman courtesy of a second round of 70.
