Bubba Watson has revealed that he is desperate to finally finish a Ryder Cup on the winning side following disappointment in the previous two events.

The two-time Masters champion is expected to play a key role for the USA at Gleneagles later this month, and he admits that the thought of missing another chance to taste success is one that concerns him.

"I have won tournaments before but I have never won the Ryder Cup," Watson told reporters. "So I think I would choose the team atmosphere, to win a Ryder Cup.

"When I look at my career as of now, I have won a major, I have won golf tournaments, I have won a team event in the Presidents Cup, but never won a Ryder Cup.

"So, at the end of it, I'd love to have one of them. This might be my last chance at winning a Ryder Cup, or I might make another team. You never know, you never know until that happens."

Watson has claimed three points from eight matches at the Ryder Cup.
