Great Britain's men's trampolining team agonisingly missed out on a medal in Thursday's European Championships final in Guimaraes.
The five-nation final saw three gymnasts from each country perform one routine, and rather than tallying up their scores from the judges, points ranging from one to five were awarded for their placements.
As such, the gymnast receiving the highest judges score from each rotation was awarded five points, which is the score that Zak Perzamanos achieved for GB in round one, posting the second-highest total of the day with 58.950.
However, GB's second trampolinist - Alex Bradshaw - could not complete his routine and added just one point to his nation's total, before Corey Walkes finished fourth in his rotation to bring GB's tally to eight.
That score forced the Brits to settle for fourth place, albeit just one point behind bronze medallists Spain and silver medallists Germany, who both finished on nine points and were separated by the latter's overall higher score from the judges.
France dominated the field to take the title with 13 points, while Belgium finished fifth with just six to their name, and the former nation completed a clean sweep in the first senior finals with glory in the corresponding women's team event.
France and Georgia both racked up 12 points, but the former's superior judges score saw them clinch the European crown, while host nation Portugal were third with nine points; GB did not compete in the women's final. body check tags ::
