Great Britain's Bryony Page followed up her Olympic bronze medal by becoming world champion in the women's trampoline on Sunday in Baku.

The 30-year-old - a silver medallist in Rio before placing third in Tokyo earlier this year - produced a routine packed with difficulty and topped the leaderboard despite taking a 0.400 penalty.

Page finished with a total score of 56.235 to take her first individual world title in the trampoline event - eight years after finishing atop the podium with the team in Sofia.

China's Yunzhu Cao - outgunned on difficulty by Page by a whole mark - took the silver medal with a score of 55.815, while Iana Lebedeva of the Russian Federation posted 55.800 to win bronze.

There was less for GB to cheer in the men's tumbling final, though, as 2013 world champion Kristof Willerton finished seventh while senior debutant William Cowen placed eighth, with Aleksandr Lisitsyn of the RGF successfully defending his world title.

The RGF also topped the rankings in the all-around team final ahead of second-placed USA, as GB placed third in the category. body check tags ::
