Comfort Yeates took home the gold medal in the women's tumbling competition on another stellar day of podium finishes for Great Britain at the World Trampoline Gymnastics Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria.

GB had already become world champions in men's and women's team tumbling on Thursday, while the women's double-mini trampoline team placed third in their final.

The individual finals kicked off on Friday, with Yeates and Shanice Davidson taking part in the women's tumbling final for GB after 2021 champion Megan Kealy failed to qualify.

Eight gymnasts competed in the first final, and the top four then went through to a second final to compete for the medals, which Davidson and Yeates both progressed to.

Yeates qualified for the second final in first place after completing a hugely difficult double-twisting double straight back somersault, but she was over a whole mark lower on her second routine in the four-gymnast competition.

However, a total of 24.400 was still enough to see her crowned world champion, with Davidson taking bronze with 24.100 and Koralee Catlett of Australia scooping silver with 24.200 - her compatriot Breanah Cauchi missed her final skill to finish fourth with a score of 20.200.

In the men's tumbling final, veteran gymnast Kristof Willerton added another medal to his ever-growing haul with a World Championship silver, having won gold in the same arena in 2013.

Willerton scored 28.500 on his first pass to qualify for the second final in first place, but he was outgunned on difficulty by the ever-impressive Ethan McGuinness of Australia to settle for second with 28.300, as McGuinness scored 28.900.

Axel Duriez of France scored 27.400 for the bronze medal, while Willerton's teammate Ramarni Levena finished fifth in the first final and thus did not go on to compete for the medals.

Away from tumbling, GB won another silver in the women's team trampoline final, with Bryony Page, Isabelle Songhurst and Louise Brownsey taking home 10 points for the team.

However, there was no stopping China, whose gymnasts topped each rotation to score a maximum 15 points and storm to the gold medal, while Japan took the bronze with nine points.

Reigning European champion Kirsty Way competed for GB in the women's double-mini trampoline final, qualifying for the medal event in third place but proceeding to score zero in her next run.

Way settled for fourth place as Australia's Bronwyn Dibb secured the world title, with Tristan van Natta and Cheyanna Robinson in second and third respectively.

Elsewhere, talented double-mini gymnast Ruben Padilla finally won the world title in his event, scoring 30.200 to finish ahead of silver medallist Gavin Dodd and third-placed Tomas Minc, while the gold medal in the men's team trampoline final went to Portugal.
